“When it Rains...You Save”

Until now in the U.S., rainwater harvesting has been used in areas with declining water tables. Recently, it is being used in parts of the world that traditionally had abundant supplies of ground water. Now more and more people are using rainwater simply to conserve, water vegetable and flower gardens, wash the dog, or, if they are really ambitious, install a potable system with UV filtration, pressurized tanks and pumping capability.

Each UV protected polyethylene rain barrel is manufactured in the USA from a recycled shipping barrel that stands 39" tall by 24" wide and weighs 20 lbs empty. The barrel comes complete with overflow fittings, drain plug, screw on cover, a threaded spigot, and pre drilled threaded holes for placement. Attach your garden hose to the spigot and water your garden, lawn, or wash your dog or car. Our rain barrel arrives with simple instructons for fast and easy installation. For additional water storage simply link two and three barrels together with a short 3/4" garden hose or flex tubing.

Collecting rain water has never been easier than with our diverter to channel water directly into your barrel. Two simple cuts in your down spout and snap in the diverter. Leave it in the open position when you want to store water or fold it back to the closed postion and your downspout will work as usual. Our diverter is made of galvanized steel, fits any downspout, metal or plastic and stands 11" tall and 3" wide X 2.5". It can be used with a barrel for water storage or simply to divert water away from your house.

Use of rain barrels to collect rooftop runoff can save a homeowner up to 600 gallons per inch of rain off an average roof of 1,000 square feet. Lawn and garden watering make up nearly 40% of total household water use during this time period. The barrels also help to protect the environment by diverting stormwater runnoff which is a major source of pollution in streams and rivers.
